You must have read or watched, “Alice in Wonderland”. Just like in the classic, entrepreneurs are in the middle of wonderland, looking for a key to save them, or just being stuck by doing the same thing over and over again. They don’t know where they are going, but just know that they need to get somewhere. As Lewis Carroll quoted in his classic, if entrepreneurs do not have their goals set, then it doesn’t matter what actions they take. Planning and budgeting is vital for organizations to succeed! Without that, we are all in wonderland…
1.As an entrepreneur, are you opening random doors like Alice?
Alice kept using random keys to open doors. Similarly, entrepreneurs keep exploring and hoping to find what they are looking for. The problem is that they don’t plan! Planning is the key! Planning will open the right doors for entrepreneurs!
2. Are you stuck like Mad Hatter?
Do you remember Mad Hatter’s tea party? This character’s clock was stuck at 6:00 pm, so it was always tea time, hence he was always having a tea party. From what I have seen, most business owners are stuck too! They are stuck on paying bills and paying bills doesn’t seem like a party to me! Many business owners bury their heads in the sand hoping that the storm will pass. They don’t resolve the issue and continue their business operations, just like Mad Hatter who continues his party without fixing the problem.

One of the most effective ways to start getting control of your business is by budgeting! The benefits of budgeting certainly bring your business out of the wonderland phase, and ensures you know where your business is heading. You know where your money is, you have enough to pay your bills, enough to run your business, and enough to spoil yourself after all the hard work!
